NIST Cybersecurity Framework Presentation Overview

In February 2013, President Obama issued an Executive Order calling for the development of a voluntary, risk-based Cybersecurity Framework. The resulting framed was published by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) in February 2014. This framework includes a set of existing standards, guidelines and practices to help organizations manage cyber risks and allows organizations—regardless of size, degree of cyber risk or cybersecurity sophistication—to apply the principles and best practices of risk management to improve the security and resilience of critical infrastructure. This presentation will walk through this new framework, providing a high-level understanding.
