Greater Fort Wayne Inc. is growing jobs, growing wages, and growing the economy in Fort Wayne and Allen County.

GFW Inc.’s director of strategy, research, and marketing, Ellen Cutter, will highlight recent economic development wins, review the $700+ million in projects set for construction in downtown Fort Wayne this year, and discuss why our community must continue to set ambitious goals and strive for excellence.

About the Speaker

Ellen Cutter joined Greater Fort Wayne Inc. as director of strategy, research, and marketing in October 2016. Ellen supports the economic development team using research to identify quality business leads in specific geographic markets and targeted industries. She is passionate about telling stories with data, tracking a multitude of economic data points to better understand the opportunities for Allen County’s future. Ellen serves on the board of directors for the Fort Wayne Museum of Art and St. Joseph Hospital, and is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Williams Woodland Park Neighborhood Association.

Ellen previously served for three years as director of the Community Research Institute at IPFW. During this time, she collaborated with GFW Inc. as the project manager for Northeast Indiana’s “Road to One Million Plan” for the IEDC Regional Cities program. Prior to working locally, Ellen served as principal and director of research for Market Street Services, a community and economic development consulting firm based in Atlanta. Her eight-year tenure included strategic planning and technical assistance in over 20 states and dozens of communities ranging from Des Moines, Iowa, to Austin, Texas, and the State of West Virginia.

A Chicago native, Ellen is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, and she earned her Master of City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech, with a focus on economic development and land use. She is an AICP-certified urban planner.
