HDBaseT is a connectivity technology for the transmission of uncompressed high-definition video (HD), audio, power, and some control signals, over a common cable with a standard connector. That cable is standard Unshielded Twisted Pair in category 5E or category 6.

About the Presenter:

Glenn Kierstead has been with Hubbell Premise Wiring since 1998 as Product Manager for Copper Products. Glenn is responsible for all category rated copper systems, audio video and station products for Hubbell Premise Wiring. In the past 14 years he has developed such products as Category 6A and Xcelerator jacks, HDBaseT, HDMI/USB/VGA 110, X-End, patch panels, blocks, patch cords, iStation™ products, 1-Punch tool, HI-Impact and AV modules and connectors. Glenn is a BICSI member and also participates in the TIA TR42 Premises Cabling standard committees. Glenn has several patents pending and multiple patents granted. Glenn graduated from Musicians Institute in Hollywood CA with a degree in performance guitar and Eastern Connecticut State University with a BA in Business Economics.
