CyberSecurity Footprint Analysis

Every organization has an online presence for business purposes, but mishandling and poor management of that presence may leave the organization open to cyber-attacks. This information is often used by malicious entities to profile a company and develop an attack strategy. Because the information is obtained using passive information gathering techniques, an organization may be completely unaware of an impending attack.

A live demonstration of a cybersecurity footprint analysis will reveal how an attacker starts with a single piece of information and is able to extrapolate that information into attack vectors against an organization. The Mako Group will profile an organization to identify seemingly benign information that can be leveraged into a cyber-attack and provide recommendations for combating these threats.

About the Speaker – Brandyn Fisher

Brandyn Fisher is the Information System Security Manager out of The Mako Group’s Fort Wayne office, where he has obtained a diverse background and experience in multiple security domains. In his time at The Mako Group, Brandyn has worked with financial institutions, hospitals, municipalities, manufacturing entities as well as other large public and private entities across the country. Brandyn manages the network penetration testing team at The Mako Group. He and his team conduct and participate in a wide array of security assessments including network penetration tests, technical vulnerability assessments, social engineering campaigns and web application penetration tests.

Brandyn received his formal education from the Indiana Institute of Technology where he received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Security and Investigation, and Western Governor’s University (WGU) where he obtained his Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. He is also an active member of InfraGard and CyberPatriot.
