Ransomware – What is it and how to reduce your risk

Per Wikipedia, “Ransomware is a type of malware that restricts access to the infected computer system in some way, and demands that the user pay a ransom to the malware operators to remove the restriction.” Ransomware is more popular now than viruses and malware. Rarely a day goes by that you don’t hear about a new hospital or some other business getting attacked.

Joe Schoeph, Director of I/T for Avalign Technologies, will be leading the discussion. Joe has been in the I/T field for 23 years in various roles from programmer, network administrator, systems administrator and management.
